When style becomes a part of your everyday, it actually is quite effortless. After all, when your wardrobe is full of the basics that can form a number of stylish ensembles, you really can just throw on anything and go. However, in order to get to this point, you have to get in the habit of knowing not only what looks good, but what doesn’t go out of style. In this two part series, we will give you a better idea of the different habits you need to add to your daily life in order to become a fashionable, sophisticated and suave Stone Rose man.

  1. You are confident no matter what you are wearing.

You cannot be well-dressed if you are not confident. Confidence is key to pulling off any outfit, whether it is a classic suit or something a little more adventurous. Part of being confident, however, is being comfortable. No man feels ready to take on the world when he is in a pair of pants that are too long or a dress shirt that is too big. You have to like both the look and the feel of your ensemble to exude the type of confidence that is required for you to be a stylish gentleman.

  2. Your clothes always fit properly.

While it may have been cool in the 90s to wear oversized pants and shirts that seemingly made you appear as though you were Eddie Murphy in The Nutty Professor, this is no longer the case in 2017. Having a good fit is the most important aspect of dressing well. After all, as we mentioned above, you cannot exude confidence if you are constantly fussing with an oversized shirt or pants.
  3. You get that less is more.

The stylish gentleman knows that a wardrobe that is stuffed full of clothing he never even wears is a waste of space and money. If you are a stylish man, you are well-aware of how redundant this is. In all seriousness, if you are shopping for basics your wardrobe only needs a handful of items. These items are three white button downs, three pale blue button downs and three navy button downs. Additionally, you are going to need several pairs of slacks, a blazer, dress shoes and belts and ties. Besides these items, your closet isn’t likely to need much else.
  4. You know that quality trumps quantity anytime.

Connected to the last habit, you should know as a stylish man that bargains aren’t going to do you much good. After all, if something is “Buy 1, Get 2 Free,” the likelihood that these items will last you is slim to none to say the least. The Stone Rose man knows that spending more on one or two items that will last him for years is a much better idea than spending less on shirts, slacks or other wardrobe items that will only last him a month or two.
  5. You know the brands that matter.

There isn’t a single stylish man on the planet who is dressed head to toe in one brand. This is because the stylish man has a handful of reliable and fashionable brands that he keeps his eyes on when he is shopping. Sure, there may be one or two brands that he prefers over others, but at the end of the day, he is open to wearing looks that suit him and his sense of fashion rather than just sporting a prestigious label everyday.
  6. Your wardrobe speaks to your lifestyle.

The Stone Rose man knows what sort of environment he spends most of his time in and how to dress based off of this. If you are someone who works in a law firm or the financial sector, it’s important that you arrive to work in a suit every single day. On the other hand, if you are in marketing or a creative field where people tend to take more of a casual approach to their everyday clothing, wearing slacks and a luxury button down without a tie may work just fine.
  7. You remain humble.

Even if you know you are the finest dressed man in the office, at the corner coffee shop or making the rounds at a friend’s dinner party, as a stylish gentleman you don’t brag. In everything you do, you remain humble and kind. Confidence and arrogance are not the same thing at all.
  8. You don’t consider yourself a ‘fashion expert’.

The stylish man worries about himself and what he is wearing. He does not offer style tips to his friends and colleagues unless he is asked. Instead, he simply exists in the most stylish and gentlemanly way possible.
  9. You have no need to plan ahead.

For the most part, the stylish Stone Rose man doesn’t lay out his outfits the night before. After all, he truly has no need to. If his wardrobe is as succinct as it should be, it will take him an average of 30 seconds to pick out his outfit and put it on.
  10. You are groomed at all times.

While this doesn’t have anything to do with wardrobe, being well-groomed is important for keeping up appearances. You can put on the finest fitting suits or tuxedos ever made, but if your hair is a mess and your facial hair hasn’t been trimmed, you won’t be fooling anyone.
